Wonderful first week in Pre-K

We made it through the first week of school and it was a blast!! The incoming Pre-K students did a great job getting settled into the routine of the classroom! We worked together on the Pre-K class rules for the year. They are as follows: 1. Be kind. 2. Take care of the classroom. 3. Be a good listener. 4. Keep your hands and feet to your own self. With those rules in place, we are off to a good start! 🙂

The kids loved The Kissing Hand, by Audrey Penn, and the activities that we did last week. We got to talk about Chester Raccoon’s feelings about coming to school, as well as our own feelings! I have to say how happy I feel when I see their smiling faces in the morning ready to come to school to learn and have fun!! We found out what feelings are and thought about times in our lives when we felt happy, sad, scared, and surprised. We also had a great time practicing what our faces would look like when we had those feelings! 🙂
