It’s November! Let’s talk about those Scarecrows!

Pre-K & K-Prep started the week out with Scarecrows and took a little break for Election Day and got back to Scarecrows for the rest of the week!

We learned about problem and solution with “The Scarecrow’s Hat.” We ordered crows 1-10 and made a mini book with counting crows. We worked on more or less and “planted patterns” with different beans.

For Election Day, we read “Duck for President” and had our own in class vote for Duck or Farmer Brown. Duck won but not by much! Of course the kids had to first register as a farm animal and then made their own “I voted” badge. We learned about the election process and graphed and tallied the class votes.

K-Prep had an important week with starting sight words. This week’s words were “I” and “like”. We worked hard on them all week!
