This week we’ve been making some secret items getting ready for our upcoming winter party! However, we did make some fabulous Gingerbread people and houses that we can share and we enjoyed many tales of various Gingerbread stories!
From our grand “Totstober” evening with costumes, crafts, music, a musician and much, much more…Creative Tots had a rocking week…through pictures we shall explore!
We had a blast this week learning about spiders and bats! We learned big vocabulary words, e.g., echolocation, mammals, nocturnal, and arachnid to name a few! We graphed, painted paints and made our own “Great 8 Spiders”! We had oral language practice during large group and even spun our very own spider web! We have such an awesome time in Pre-K!
We had so much celebrating Dr. Seuss with our themed days! We did lots of rhyming with both real words and silly made up words!
Did we have fun? Well, what did we do? We rhymed, did crafts and science experiments too!! We dressed up and dressed down…we wore our upside down frowns!
Our Pre-K room is so much fun and fun is good!!!

The preschoolers celebrated Dr. Seuss’ birthday in many ways. We enjoyed reading many of his stories and making Dr. Seuss art. We charted our likes and dislikes on our “Would you like green eggs?” chart, (I’m surprised that so many of the children would like green eggs!) The preschoolers also enjoyed identifying letters and matching letters with Red Fish, Blue Fish. They got a “catch” out of our math game One Fish, Two Fish where they were practicing number identification and one-to-one correspondence. We hope you all love Dr. Suess as much as us!

This week we taught our student’s the importance of good dental care. We read books about taking care of our teeth, sorted the healthy foods from the bad foods for our teeth, categorized tools that are used for your teeth, we did toothpaste surveys, made our own teeth, played games with fake teeth and much, much more! Take a sneak peek through our “Dental Health” week.
We patterned with hearts, made valentines for our ‘special someone’, practiced the letter Vv and much…much…more! We ended our week with a special Valentine’s Day party! 🙂
