This week we taught our student’s the importance of good dental care. We read books about taking care of our teeth, sorted the healthy foods from the bad foods for our teeth, categorized tools that are used for your teeth, we did toothpaste surveys, made our own teeth, played games with fake teeth and much, much more! Take a sneak peek through our “Dental Health” week.
The preschoolers have been exploring dental health through activities, stories, and art. To add to the fun they enjoyed a visit from a dental hygienist, who remind the preschoolers to brush twice a day, eat healthy food to keep their teeth strong and bright!
We had great fun in the Preschool Room this past week. We explored the lost world of the dinosaurs and the volcanoes that erupted around them. Creative Tots experimented with mixing our own lava and watching the small volcanoes erupt. To continue our dinosaur theme we even got to make a colorful dinosaur egg from paper mache. Talk with your tots at home about the land of the dinosaurs.
We also had a visit from a Dental Assistant that showed us all the wonderful tools Dentists use to keep our teeth clean and white. She shared with us the best way of brushing our teeth and how important it is to brush and floss all the “Sugar Bugs” away.
Our special this week was art, where we learned all about Jim Dine and his series of hearts. We used colored pencil to create our own hearts out of Shrinky Dinks. It was fun to see how small they were straight out of the oven.
Take a look at all of our wonderful pictures below to see the fun.
